What's New, Pussycat?

These are all the stories — in no particular category — that are posted for awhile on our home page. It’s a pretty good record of all we’ve posted in one place.

For the Fans

Elvis at a Tom Jones show circa 1974We believe the launch of any new website is a time of discovery, remembrance and great excitement. This is especially true for this site, because Tom’s fans are particularly loyal and devoted.

Tom’s fans are all ages, both genders and from many parts of the world. Some are famous themselves.

One of the most famous was Elvis, shown here in a candid shot taken from the audience at Caesar’s Palace in September 1974 as he watched Tom’s show. We think it’s an amazing photo and it’s the kind of surprising item we hope to post often.

So, if you have a contribution of this kind, or just want to tell us your experiences as a Tom Jones fan, let us hear from you.

We look forward to it.

    Hiya,

Great photo of Elvis. I was at that concert at Caesars Palace. I flew from London to see Tom, I got backstage and met Elvis because Tom sent him over to me. It was the best day of my life. I spoke to Elvis for around 30 minutes, had an autograph and a photo. I didn’t think it would come out, but it’s the clearest photo ever taken. Thanks, Tom. Also, Tom and Elvis invited me to Elvis’a suite at the Hilton for a party but I declined — silly me — I understood lots of stars were going — Frank Sinatra many more. I was 18 and scared. Anyway, it’s nice to share my memories.

Hi Suzie. Thanks for sharing your story! It sounds like you had a great night!! I keep looking at this picture of Elvis. I can’t believe the look on his face. It’s like he is in awe of Tom and really enjoying the show. It’s a wonderful picture and I’m glad the photographer shared it with tomjonesinternational.com and that Ellen and Ursula shared it with us. Thanks.

I saw Tom for the third time at MGM. I think he is STILL the sexiest man alive. I would just love to meet him and get a look up close at those blue eyes. My husband thinks I am nuts to be this young and crazy about a guy in his 60’s but no one in my age group (30) has the polish and professionalism that Tom has. I have seen him for the past three years as my birthday present and he could sing the same thing and I wouldn’t care a bit. I have his DVD’s and I do my work out to them. I LOVE TOM JONES. There is just something very elusive about him.

By the way, I love this website
