  1. Laura G. Cain Says:

I would ask him: Has there been one moment in your life that you would replay over and over again? If so, what would that moment be?

  2. Marian Says:

Tom, I have loved every period of your career, through all your singing styles, but is rock and roll your personal favorite? Was there ever a time in your 40-year career that you just wanted time out to do something different?

  3. delilahdarlin Says:

I’d like to ask Tom to update his list of favorite movies, movie stars, singers, books, etc.

  4. stoli.skyy Says:

Do you have any regrets regarding the choices you’ve made in your (professional) life?

  5. Deb Says:

I would like to know if Mr. Jones were given the opportunity to turn back the hands of time, would he take it or is he content exactly where he is now? If he did want to go back, what age would he want to be and what, if anything, would he do differently?

  6. Julia Says:

I would ask Tom what is the best moment of your life……I would sure like to be there for a replay…..

  7. Susanne Says:

    What would it take…?

  8. mharding Says:

When you comin’ out with that new CD that spreads love in soc-iet-ee?

  9. Daniel Danielewicz Says:

I would like to ask: “Tom, where did you like singing the most?” I am guessing at Cardiff Castle because you thought you would never perform there. So was that a very good and relieful experience for you Mr.Tom Jones.

  10. Daniel Danielewicz Says:

I was wondering, Tom, when are you going to retire?

  11. Moderator Says:

Daniel, Tom has always said he’ll only retire when he cannot do it anymore. Therefore, it seems to us that he’ll not retire anytime soon because it looks as if he can go on forever.

  12. Martine (France) Says:

As I would like to know Tom more as a person, the first question I would like to ask him is what he likes doing when he doesn’t sing. I heard he was good at drawing, so what kind of drawing does he like to do?

  13. Martine (France) Says:

If you hadn’t been a singer, what else would you have liked to do?

  14. maggie Says:

i would ask Tom two things: First why have you not done a Christmas CD? I think that would be a top-seller. My second question would be: Do you miss just being a regular guy? Do you miss what we take for granted being able to walk in the street or go to movie or go to the store and not be recognized or being able to go to video store or throw out your garbage without someone having a camera in your face? In short, do you miss your privacy?

  15. Belinda Phillips Says:

Everyone has their own idea of success, what was Tom’s definition of success when his career began and what does he aspire to now?

  16. mharding Says:

I’d ask “Will you ever record the new song Paul ‘thumbs-aloft’ McCartney talked about writing for you in 1999. Is it a matter of fitting it into the right album?” Article here:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/577357.stm

Will you ever release the track with Artful Dodger you talked about a few years ago? I think that was recorded but not released. Same problem as above?

Will the unreleased 90s live album ever come out?

Ever think about seizing control of the means of production; recording in a home studio and releasing on your own label?

    Just wondering.

  17. mharding Says:

The British comedian Freddie Starr once told David Frost in an interview that he pushed you through the ice into his frozen-over swimming pool when you visited his home and that you “didn’t like it.” He also claims to have done the same to Muhammad Ali on a different occasion but without the ice.

Did he really push you in and, if so, did you see the funny side eventually?

  18. Julia Says:

Tom, I would like to know if you look at this website. If you do, can I take you to dinner in Las Vegas? Let me know when and I will be there.

    Julia

  19. RVG Says:

    Will you marry me?

  20. Juan R. Murillo Says:

    Mr. Jones:

Three friends, my wife and I will see you on Sunday March the 5th (at MGM) very close to you (Row A, Section 1, seats 21 to 25. Our ages go from 29 to 40. I’ll take one of my LP’s and here’s the question: Would you sign it for us? We’ll be really happy and honored. By the way, it’s our second show, I’m your fan since I was 8 years old (30 years ago) and we all come from Chihuahua, Mexico.

  21. Julia Says:

How do you stay in such good shape physically? Do the late nights not wear you out? Do you keep your wonderful tan by being in the sunshine or bt tanning bed? What are your hobbies?

  22. Moderator Says:

Julia,we can answer a few of these:

Tom works out regularly and rigorously. He tries, he says, to get a full eight hours sleep and likes to relax in the sun. On an old TV show he was asked about his hobbies and he said that, as a teenager, singing had been his hobby — something he did nights after work. Now that singing is his profession, he said, he doesn’t really have other hobbies. But he also said he’s a “history buff,” so maybe that’s a hobby.

  23. mharding Says:

Are you involved in deciding what goes on the This is Tom Jones DVD set? Is it going to be a selection of highlights or the whole thing, any extras and when does it come out if you don’t mind me asking?

  24. Deb Says:

Regarding Julia’s question about Tom’s hobbies, I have heard rumors, which I have not been able to confirm or disprove, that he dabbles in building furniture. I recall hearing or reading that at least one person has actually placed an order but to the best of my knowledge, that order has not yet been fulfilled.

  25. mharding Says:

    Deb, get out of town!

  26. mharding Says:

I heard he was joining the Chippendales. Get it?

  27. Beth Says:

I CAN confirm that Tom doesn’t make furniture. That really makes me laugh because he is really not a handy person. Screwing in a light bulb might be a stretch. Sorry to say girls: handsome, sexy? yes; handyman? no. AT least not that kind!!

  28. mharding Says:

Ah well, looks like we’ll just have to make do with his rendition of Knock on Wood as well as those appearances with The Carpenters of course.

  29. Julia Says:

I do wish his hobby was making furniture. I am a designer and I could sure use a good master craftsman.

What is the most important thing that has kept your marriage working for almost 50 years? Elvis sang a song called Hurt, would you ever consider singing it? I think it would be a great song for you!

  32. Elaine Says:

If I had the chance to talk to Tom, I would ask him if he ever received a Grammy Award and if he ever attended the Grammy Award Show!

  33. Moderator Says:

Tom was named “Best New Artist” in 1965 at the Eighth Annual Awards.

Among the other winners that year were: Herb Alpert and the Tiajuana Brass, Record Of The Year: A Taste Of Honey; Frank Sinatra, Album Of The Year: September Of My Years Barbara Streisand, Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female: My Name is Barbra Song of the Year: The Shadow of Your Smile (Love Theme from The Sandpiper), performed by Tony Bennett
