Saw the show and it was very interesting. It is a brand new production and gives major props to Mark (deserved, I have to say) for revitalizing Tom’s career. Gordon got kind of trashed but I just figure that the scales are being balanced to ultimately reflect the truth.
Odd to see and hear Englebert saying such nice things about Tom and Chris Hutchins was really behaving himself in his comments. (Guess everyone’s growing up.) I saw on an online list that someone was upset with the stories and comments from a former bandmate of Tom’s but, again, it probably is the truth.
In all, a balanced show that was also very kind to Tom and some great photos were shown.

Good show but it seemed to gloss over the 70’s & 80’s. CBS 60 Minutes did a piece on him in 2000 or 2001 which I thought was more insightful. Wish I could get a copy of that.

Hi: Did you all notice that Lois’ photos from Westbury in 1980 when Tom’s shirt tore were included in this show? At about 55 minutes in? They’re definitely hers as you can see in this site’s “Tom Then & Now” section where they were posted with her permision and she recalls being the only one taking photos that night. They were also included on their own page in the JTV book, Tribute to A Legend.
Go, Lois!

I liked the show and found it interesting, I wish they would have added a clip of Tom performing some of his newest stuff. This was an opportunity to reach more people and it fell just a bit short on that score.

I finally got to see the biography. I also wish they would have shown some newer clips. I did enjoy seeing the clips with him and his wife. He is a powerful entertainer and Linda is most certainly the supporting wife.
