…SIR TOM JONES is planning to expose the most intimate details of his private life in a new autobiography this year (06).
The Welsh crooner wants to clarify the many rumours surrounding his sexual exploits — and publishers have plunged into a bidding frenzy for the rights to the book.
An insider says, “The bidding for the rights has passed the GBP1 million mark and Hodder looks the favourite to get them.”

I can’t wait to see what Tom has to say in this book! Will he be his usual “off the cuff” candid self or will he be heavily edited?

I hope he does write something, heavily edited or not. All the books I have read about him and his sexual exploits are nothing less than — for lack of a better word — EWWWWWWWWW.

Consider this hand raised, DelilahDarlin’ - and rest assured that I’ll be one of the first in line at the bookstore to get it! I just hope there are LOADS of pictures - new ones, not just old ones!!! And wouldn’t it be wonderful if he would record an audio book as well?! Of course, as many have mentioned before, I’d buy a CD of him reading or singing the phonebook - his voice is that powerful and enchanting!

I will also be the first in line. I read the book by Eggar and was impressed only by the pictures. We all have our skeletons and some just need to be in the closet. I am just glad that Tom has shared himself with us for so many years.

Don’t think this one is happening. Tom doesn’t even consider himself someone who can express himself in a song. He’s only written a couple of songs so I don’t think he’s going to sit down and do an entire book. It would be nice though. I don’t think he cares what we think about his crazy times with women.

If Tom’s writing a book he’s changed his mind recently. I’ve heard him say in the last couple of years that he wouldn’t write an autobiography as he doesn’t consider himself a writer and wouldn’t want to upset anybody with the content.
I’d prefer a new album to a book.

I agree on keeping the closet door closed. And I would buy ANY audio book that Tom recorded. What a great thought!
