    According to lesreed.com, Peter Alexander’s version hit #1 in Germany in 1969. Tom’s version hit #2 in the UK and #15 in the US in 1968. The Sensational Alex Harvey Band’s 1975 cover reached #15 in the UK.Connie Francis released it in South Africa in 1968 on the MGM label. Was there someone before them?
