Tyson vs. Jones? Apparently Not. Maybe.
Wednesday, October 25th, 2006The Welsh newspaper, the Western Mail, said in a story rehashing the whole business about Tyson saying he’ll fight Tom, “…a spokeswoman for Jones said press reports of Tyson’s comments were the first she had heard of the supposed arrangement.”
But, maybe they just didn’t confide in her. Stay tuned.

Hmmm… all of this brings to mind a previous headline from Tom’s career as a door-to-door salesman. I wonder if any other readers recall the story of Tom’s heroic grapple with a runaway vacuum cleaner and the local headline “Jones Vs Dyson?”

I never had as much of an issue with Tom’s management as I did Monday night. I was watching Entertainment Tonight and it briefly showcased:
Our guy possibly climbing in the ring with Mike Tyson!!!!

First I would like to start off by saying I am 50 years old and Tom Jones has been my favorite singer since I was twelve years old. I travel to Las Vegas three times a year, when Sir Tom is at the MGN, to enjoy the most powerful voice in the music business. With that said, does anyone really believe that Sir Tom would even consider participating in such a carnival stunt with Mike Tyson? Let us all remember that Sir Tom is the greatest male vocalist in modern pop music and is well able to choose his publicity…what would he need with Mike Tyson!!

Once again TJI was right on the mark…you warned us to be skeptical of the source. I agree with Dave…what does Sir Tom need with Tyson?
