Fan Fare, What's New, Pussycat?
Here’s where you’ll find TJ photos and stories that don’t fit into any other categories. It is, as its name says, just for fans — and, hopefully, for fun.

First, we just have to ask: Isn’t Git Me Some one of the more honest songs ever? Gotta love a guy who actually owns up to it, don’t you?
Again, a great show and, this time, a few great photos. We love the close-up and what people with less class then we have would call — in the world of Tom Jones — the “money shot.” But we won’t. We’ll just call it eye candy.
You can see all eight photos full-size on our flickr set, The Many Faces of Tom.

Good morning, ladies. Definately EYE CANDY. Amazing isn’t he? My husband is exactly the same age and, well, although I love him dearly, he is isn’t quite up to the body shots of Tom. As we all know the older you get the more difficult it is to stay in shape. I wonder what his daily regimen is? He must work out daily or maybe lipo. Anyway, whatever he does to maintain his great body it works. You go, Tom.

When my friend and I saw him in Atlantic City last month and heard him sing Git Me Some, the whole table went nuts. You’re right, what an honest song and straight forward lyrics that we all think about, but to hear Tom sing it, it left us all rather speechless. What a hit from such a hunk. I’ll be in Vegas to see him three nights in Jan., second row, center, CAN’T WAIT!

Tom is EYE CANDY for sure. A gorgeous man and he takes great care of himself. But, I think he is candy for the heart, too. I just feel happy when I listen to him and see him. Yeah, sure, he knows how to work it with every hip thrust, wink, nod and smile. It does work like magic over and over again. True, it is refreshing to hear a man (or a woman) for that matter be truthful about wanting to just “git me some” even if only in a song. But for me Tom’s music can touch something deeper inside and bring me to a better place on those bad days or in sad times… and that is something I haven’t found in any other artist.

Thanks for the morning eye-opener! And if looking at those pictures doesn’t open the eyes, nothing will!!! I can’t wait to hear the song Git Me Some. Can someone tell me who sang the song originally? I just can’t imagine anyone singing it better than Tom!!!

Git Me Some was recorded not too long ago by blues artist Earl Thomas.

Ooooo LA LA! Linda, I love my husband to death too (he let be go to Vegas to see Tom on my wedding anniversary!) BUT Tom is beefcake. Of course, I’m first attracted to “the voice”. Can’t wait to “git me some” Friday night. Girls, thanks for the eye openning shots!

Thanks for the great pictures. I noticed he was wearing his purple pants/outfit again for this show instead of the newer black one he wore on Saturday night. The black one looked really good on him!

Been a TJ fan for years but isnt it time to stop pulling up the shirt? Since he doesnt favor the throwing of underwear on to the stage shouldnt he then stop pulling up the shirt? Maybe cause I am a guy I feel this way but I believe the focus should be on the voice. Thanks

I saw Tom in February and he pulled up his shirt. Thank you, Tom. — Cindy

Rick, you will definately remain a very small minority when it comes to EYE CANDY. You don’t think this display is for the guys do you? Although, there may be some men in the audience who appreciate it also. Of course the primary reason we love him so is the VOICE. We just appreciate the “whole package” Smile.
December 14th, 2006 at 10:42 am
Yes, the whole package…Keep lifting your shirt, Tom!

When I hear Tom Jones I smile. When I see Tom Jones I Smile. When he pulls up his shirt I get a really big SMILE. Sorry Guys, you’ll just have to tolerate it.

Tom Jones is still gorgeous and age appropriate.

Gorgeous photos — thank you so much. Did you feel that earthquake? It’s a collective female sigh as we all gaze in rapture………..
December 17th, 2006 at 7:47 pm
My husband is 17 years younger than Tom and works out regularly to stay in shape. He has seen Tom lift that shirt many times and is very impressed by those abs. He knows what it takes to stay that way at 49, not to mention what it takes at Tom age. It should be viewed as inspiration to men that they can still be hot at 66. Like the saying goes….if you’ve got it, flaunt it.
December 20th, 2006 at 4:20 am
Well said, Paula!! For a man of ANY age, Tom is IMPRESSIVE, but 66, WOW!! He looks so pleased with himself when he pulls his shirt up during that song, as he should — knowing he will hear that “collective female sigh as we gaze in rapture.” Thank you, Tom!! And, Ellen & Ursula, I agree with you about the seats a couple of rows back at the MGM — except for this part. I really like being in that front row to be THAT much closer to those GORGEOUS (sweaty) ABS when he pulls up his shirt.

Well, Renn, on the other hand, we were told that the photo of Tom we were give to post — that “money shot” — was taken with a zoom lens from the back of the theater. So, it’s all good.
We do, however, wish that MGM would be like most other venues and allow non-flash photography. If Sir Tom and his management minded, there would be no photos anywhere. But, apparently, they are kind enough not to. Thus, we conclude it is the venue. While we do understand a ban on video, stills should be fine.

Tom’s the kind of man that can take it all off and leave the lights on.
