Time-Life to Release “This Is Tom Jones” DVD Set? Adweek Says Yes

In an article about the methods Time Life will use to promote it’s upcoming DVD release of the Get Smart series, the December 12 online edition of AdWeek says that Time Life will use MySpace and fan sites to promote each series.

“Time Life intends to promote all of its DVD collections this way, including upcoming releases This Is Tom Jones and The Andy Williams Show. Those will include the option to pay to digitally download the episodes.”

No release time or cost is given, although the Get Smart series, which ran in half-hour episodes from 1965 through 1970, will cost around $200.

    Comments from Time Life USA:

No official announcement has been made regarding the release date of the DVD box set of THIS IS TOM JONES. So I don’t really have any information to give you on this. I have read some articles online saying that this product would be available from Time Life. But Time Life has yet to pass on any information to us in their customer service department regarding this set. That means that the planning of this set is still in early stages. I would imagine though from what I read that you should periodically check out http://www.timelife.com for an eventual announcement.

Sorry I could not be of further assistance.

    Sincerely,
