IT looks like father time is finally catching up with Tom Jones.

Forty years ago the Welsh crooner created a shocking trend, when crazed female fans threw their knickers at him on stage at the Copacabana in New York.

But fast forward to the present day and Tom – now 67 – is getting a different kind of greeting from his loyal following.

On stage at a packed gig in Pechanga Resort & Casino, Temecula in California, tenacious Tom was belting out his numbers with his 11-piece band — and playing up his sex appeal at every turn.

Clad in a sleek purple suit Jones was in full flow, singing his greatest hits and making his usual suggestive movements to songs like Delilah, Help Yourself and She’s a Lady.

But when it came to What’s New Pussycat, he soon had his answer.

One of his faithful following, driven to a frenzy by the singer’s gyrating hips, threw her WIG on the stage. Whether it was already in his set list or he decided to respond to the unusual intervention, the cheeky star responded by singing You Can Keep your Hat On.

And as he finished up his set, one woman waved a Welsh flag while others crowded against the stage, showing that the Welshman still knows how to milk an audience.

One of Tom’s most popular songs is It’s Not Unusual. But on this occasion, Sexbomb Tom seems to have got more than he bargained for.
