You Gotta Love It! Booze Limit Set For Tom’s March 1st New Zealand Audience
Saturday, February 23rd, 2008We offer this with no comment:
Booze limit at winery concert
6:00AM/Sunday February 24, 2008/New Zealand Herald
An alcohol limit has been placed on next Saturday night’s Mission Estate Winery Concert, starring Tom Jones and Jimmy Barnes, because of incidents of drunkenness and disorder at past concerts.
Sport and Entertainment operations manager Garry Craft said the Mission Concert was a unique event in letting people bring their own alcohol. But this year they would be limited to two bottles of wine each, a dozen cans of beer, or 10 pre-mixed drinks.
If you wish, you can check out Jimmy Barnes, the other act on the bill at the winery.

How long would this concert last, around two hours? I don’t know about you, but if I drank two bottles of wine, or twelve cans of beer, or ten premixed drinks in this amount of time, I’d be under the table! LOL. Besides, Tom is as intoxicating as it gets, and he’s allllll natural !!!!!!!!!!!

I”m glad Tom has been invited to this event. However I”d much rather him be in his home land for St David’s Day, 1st March.

We understand that, Gill, but this is a commonwealth country, so they’ll remember. Last year he didn’t perform on March 1. Don’t remember about 2006, but in 2005, a special tribute was given to Tom. We’ll post that story very soon. So, we believe, it doesn’t matter where anyone is, a holiday is in the heart and can be celebrated….wherever.
