Such factors as final, signed contracts, the venue's own willingness to post a schedule (certainly the case with one northeast venue we know about) or other issues? And, if Tom's new CD is to be released in the summer, maybe the time to promote that must be factored in. As for slowing down, we are never surprised by honest criticism even on the part of the most loyal, avid fans (and we've criticized, too) but "old" Tom? Why is that necessary? Compare him to anyone else his age. He ain't "slow."
