Still no updated schedule. I wonder if old Tom is beginning to slow down a bit.

I dont think its Tom- he has an inadequate management staff. They seem to be laid back and content to do as little as possible to promote Tom. Maybe an outside of the family person would bring life back into his career

I agree. I wrote a couple of articles on Tom for two publications and, though I was able to get interviews, his people were a pain to deal with.

Greg, Rick E.: Have you considered that there might be other reasons for a delay in posting a schedule? Such factors as final, signed contracts, the venue’s own willingness to post a schedule (certainly the case with one northeast venue we know about) or other issues? And, if Tom’s new CD is to be released in the summer, maybe the time to promote that must be factored in. As for slowing down, we are never surprised by honest criticism even on the part of the most loyal, avid fans (and we’ve criticized, too) but “old” Tom? Why is that necessary? Compare him to anyone else his age. He ain’t “slow.” Finally, for the record, the one time a couple of years ago that Ellen dealt with Tom’s management for an article she was writing, there was no problem getting a photo not in his press kit — and that’s a fact.

Wow, take a deep breath and relax. Let’s not be sensitive here. When I said “old” I didn’t mean it as a reference to his age rather as a term of endearment.

Greg: We aren’t sensitive and we are relaxed. But, no one we know likes the adjective “old” or considers it a term of endearment. We bet ol’ Tom doesn’t, either. Don’t want to argue, as we enjoy your posts. Thanks for visiting tji.com and, please, continue to do so.

Glad Tom could squeeze in a couple of more days in May at the MGM!
By the way, if any of my loved ones decided to use the world “old” as a word to express their affection towards me, I’d smack them!

Wow, tough crowd, Okay, I give.
