Show & Venue Reviews, What's New, Pussycat?
Please share your Tom Jones shows with other fans. Setlist? Audience? Energy? What was it like being there? We’d love to hear from you.
And, while you’re telling us about the shows, please let us know what you think of the venues where Tom plays. Clubs, theaters, casinos — Tom Jones performs in all of them. Which venue do you think is the best? The worst?
So that other fans will know what’s in store when they buy their tickets, please tell us a little bit about the venues you know. If possible, try to use the format below so others can tell at a glance what you think. The best venue will merit ****. More than one review of a venue is welcome.
Review of Tom In Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Northwest/Canadian Tour Ends Tonight; AND A Belated B’day Wish
Tuesday, June 10th, 2008
When Tony introduces “The one….the only…SIR TOM JONES!!!” at 7:30 tonight in Winnipeg, it will be the last show in a tour that saw him in Portland, OR, Seattle and the all over the western third of Canada.
From all reports, the tour was highly successful — full houses, enthusiastic crowds. Here’s a review from Star Phoenix in Saskatoon, Sasketchewan (we just like writing that). Titled “Jones Still The Voice,” It’s a positive review, although she didn’t like the encore (we tend to think she didn’t get it) and every ounce of praise was tempered with criticism. But, it’s still a review and still recognition of the power of Sir Tom Jones.
He’s been in a part of the world he doesn’t visit too often so we’re sure the fans were ecstatic he was there.
As we know, June 7 was a great day for music. Here’s a belated birthday wish for Tom and two other greats born June 7. It has a photo we love and, for the record, The Reason as shown here was performed in Chile. Enjoy.
In the 16 days between tonight’s show and his opening in Biloxi, TJI.com is hoping to keep you amused with some stuff from the past you might not have seen before and, too, at least one return visit to a favorite Tom Jones moment. Stay tuned.

Yes! I will be there tonite with my sis-in-law (a TJ virgin). We are dressing and making up as we speak. Hope I finally get to meet TJ in my home town tonite! What a blast to see him here at last.

We just returned from the concert (4th row) The crowd seemed rather subdued the first half hour but slowly and then rapidly got into the TJ fix. The panties were flying, plenty of wild dancing and honestly this was the most relaxed I’ve seen TJ. Men and women of all ages seemed to be caught up in the moment and there was quite a lot of audience interaction, a plastic dragon was thrown and we were waving a huge Welsh flag. I would have thought him to be so exhausted at the end of this tour that perhaps we wouldn’t get a 100% but he gave us way more than that. He gave us a wonderful evening with his charisma and beautiful voice and the audience loved him. I can tell you I’m a Happy Camper. By the way my sis-in-law was unable to sit ( dancing queen) and no photos were allowed. I got in 2 shots before security came to me and asked me to stop. BUMMER!

Thought it was a good review but sorry to hear that she didn’t like the encore. I also love Sir Tom’s speaking voice and would even buy a ticket just to hear him do a “reading.” He is so talented.

Thanks for the link to my site! I was thrilled, as always, to see Sir Tom performing again. I will continue to attend any & all concerts of his that I can, as I always leave there happy & still able to hear!
I disagreed with the reviewer about the encore. I thought it was wonderful & showed his ability to tackle any genre with ease & skill.
